1. GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL COMPETITIONS

1.1 OWNERSHIP
All images and their component parts must be the original work of the entrant, be photographed by them, and the copyright held by them. The Committee retain the right to view the original images.

1.2 PRESENTATION
Slides must be mounted in 2-inch square mounts and must be correctly spotted (i.e. in the bottom left hand corner when right way up looking from the viewing side). The author’s name and slide title must be clearly marked on the slide.

Prints must be mounted on board or card (max mount size 500mm by 400mm) and the author’s name and print title marked on the back.

Digital Projection Images must be submitted on a CD. Images must be of maximum dimensions 1400 pixels in width and 1050 pixels in height. Colour space: sRGB. Additional information will be given by the Competition Secretary.

With the exception of the Monochrome Cup, all images may be colour or monochrome unless otherwise advised by the Chairman.

1.3 JUDGING
All competitions (with certain exceptions detailed below) will be independently judged whenever possible. Slides, prints and images for digital projection will be judged as separate categories.

1.4 SUBMISSION AND AGE OF ENTRIES

All entries should be handed to the Club Internal Competition Secretary for logging one week prior to the competition. Alternatively, by prior agreement with the Competition Secretary, slides and print entries may be entered by 7.15pm on the night of the competition. There is no age limit on photographs entered in League competitions but for all other competitions, except the Best of Year, images, and their component parts, must have been photographed since the last judging of that competition.

In general, a photographic image may only be entered in one Category of competition during the season. Slide entries must have been originally photographed on reversal film.
